Christophe, mon cher ami, pour toi
You are no more;
That photo
Where we stand together,
Laughing,
Makes no sense
No more;
I am no more
The way I used to be
Because
That corner in my heart
Which you inhabited,
Is deadly cold;
We are no more
Part of this tired yet,
Undying world
Together,
And the sliding doors between us
Are closed;
I whisper prayers
To the heavy Earth
For you,
For me,
For us,
Who are no more
Because you are
No more
A deep sadness flows through these lines…pray you are well within.
Thank you! To lose someone you love to something you love doing is… confusing,
The poem has meaning as my mother will pass away next few days.
Oh Carl! I am very, very sorry! I’ll pray for her, too, as I pray for my friend, whom this poem is dedicated to. Much love and courage to you!
